APR 24: ACES AWARD ---- Aces, Association for Children for Enforcement of Support, is the largest child support organization in the nation with over 400 chapters in 48 states and 40,000 members across the United States. ACES members are families entitled to support who have joined together to take action to improve the child support system for the 35 million children owed over $41 Billion in unpaid child support. On April 17, ACES celebrated its 15th Anniversary at an event held in Los Angeles. Attendees included public officials, representatives from community organizations, and others who are working to support ACES. Everclear was presented with the "ACES Golden Heart Award" in recognition of their work. Art Alexakis attended the ceremony to accept the award for Everclear. An ACES spokesperson said, "Everclear's song, 'Father of Mine,' was outstanding in communicating the searing pain that a child goes through when there has been a family breakup. ACES applauds their courage and sensitivity in speaking out about this tough subject."
